The Newtown Area Republican Committee would like to announce a meeting for the screening of candidates. Anyone interested in seeking the endorsement of the Republican Party for the following offices in 2015 should attend.

The meeting will be held on Thursday January 29th, 6:30pm at the Black Horse Tavern, 101 South State Street, Newtown. Please contact contact Mike Gallagher at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the agenda. A resume or letter of interest should be included in the email, and will be distributed. Attendance is open to all registered Republicans in the Newtown Area.
Club Happy Hour will continue after the meeting with the Club providing appetizers.

Newtown Holiday Parade
The Greater Newtown Republican Club is sponsoring a float in this year’s Newtown Holiday Parade. We need volunteers to help plan and build our float. We have secured an antique tractor (this year with rebuilt carburetor and fuel tank) an antique tractor driver and very large flatbed trailer. If you can help PLEASE let us know ASAP. Planning for the float will start immediately after the election is behind us. Maryellen Galley has volunteered to lead the float committee. Many thanks to Maryellen.

Primary Election night
When: Tuesday, May 20th after polls close
What: Happy hour as results come in
3rd Annual Club Shoot
When: Saturday May 31st, 8am to noon
Where: Wicen’s Shooting Range – 3179 Mozart Rd, Furlong, PA 18925
What: Come out to have some fun learning to shoot clay pigeons with a shotgun and paper targets with a handgun. All are welcome, no previous experience required. This is a great event to come out and try shooting for the first time and have a fine BBQ lunch. Guns, ammo, food, safety badge and training included.
June Club Happy Hour
When: Wed. June 18th 5pm to 7 pm
Where: The Green Parrot 240 N. Sycamore St. Newtown
What: Happy hour. Come socialize. Rich Zioli of 12 Talk Radio will be doing a live broadcast in conjunction with our Club happy hour

Harrisburg Bus Trip
When: Sept. 17th or 18th TBD
Where: Newtown to Harrisburg PA State Capitol
What: Still working on this event. The plan is to get a bus trip together and have our favorite PA elected officials give us a tour of what is said to be one of the most spectacular Capitol buildings. Said to rival the U.S. Capital. We have a lot of State level officials running for re-election this year who should be ready to give us a nice tour. Please let us know of your interest in this trip ASAP.
Tailgate with The Candidates
When: TBD. A Sunday Eagles game depending on the schedule as it is published
Where: Joey G’s
What: This was a great event last year where we had a giant tent set up and watched the game on 3 big screen TV’s with great food provided by Joey G’s and beer and wine provided. There also was a separate tent set up with Ned’s Cigars for those so inclined.
November Election Day
When: Tuesday November 4th as the polls close
What: Happy hour. Come socialize and watch the election results as they come in.
Family Fun Night
When: Sunday November 9th, 4 to 6:30pm
Where: Party Palace
What: Post election wind down with your family! We plan to rent out the Party Palace where we have a number of inflatable amusements set up in doors for both kids and adults. Pizza and snacks provided. Bring Your Own Beverage. (wink wink)
December Holiday Party

What: Celebrate the Holidays with your fellow GNRC Club members, friends and family.
